Due to popular demand we have convinced our Managers and their teams to part with their Top Secret home baking recipes (believe us this wasn’t easy!). Over the next few months we will be posting your favourite recipes, so you can try to recreate them in the comfort of your own home.

There is no better place to start than at the beginning……..Kath our Manager over at Sheffield started the home baking craze way back in September last year with her range of mouthwatering quiches. Since then we have never looked back with us finding many “home bakers” amongst our dedicated team!
Cheese and Onion Quiche
To make a 8”/10” Quiche serving 8
Shortcrust Pastry Recipe
16oz Plain Flour
8oz Butter
Pinch of Salt
Water
Method
- Bind together with just enough water to make a stiff dough.
- Roll out the pastry and line a quiche dish.
- Slice one white onion and spread across the bottom of the pastry lined dish.
- Spread a good handful of grated mature cheddar cheese over the onions.
- Beat 4 eggs and mix with ½ pint milk, adding salt and pepper to season.
- Add another handful of grated mature cheddar cheese to the egg mix and stir thoroughly.
- Pour the egg and cheese mix over the onions.
- Bake in the oven at 160°C till golden brown (approx. 30/40 minutes).
